| How Are Polish People Helping Refugees from Ukraine?
| Close to two thirds of the people surveyed (63%) admit that they or members of their household are helping refugees from Ukraine. Most frequently this is in the form of material or financial help. Three quarters of those who say they’re helping do so by donating things such as clothes, toiletries or food (75%), while six out of ten donate money (59%). Other forms of helping, which require more personal engagement, are less common. These include organising collections or other charitable actions (12%), assistance in arrangements with officials, health centres or schools (10%), making available living space in a house or flat (8%), preparing meals (6%), volunteering in a reception or short stay centre (6%) and transporting people from the Polish-Ukrainian border (3%).

| Як поляки допомагають біженцям з України?
|  Майже дві третини респондентів (63%) відповіло, що особисто допомагає біженцям з України або хтось з членів їхнього домогосподарства. Найчастіше це матеріальна та фінансова допомога. Три чверті респондентів, що задекларувала допомогу біженцям, дарують речі (75%), а саме одяг, засоби гігієни чи продукти харчування, і близько шести осіб із десяти жертвують гроші (59%). Інші форми допомоги, що передбачають безпосередню участь, менш поширені. Серед них: організація фінансових збірок та подібні акції (12%), допомога в залагодженні справ в органах місцевого самоврядування, поліклініках, школах (10%), надання біженцям житла або квартири (8%), приготування їжі (6%), волонтерство у пункті прийому та перебування біженців (6%), перевезення людей з польсько-українського кордону (3%).

| This ‘Current Events and Problems’ survey (384) was conducted using a mixed-mode procedure on a representative sample of named adult residents of Poland, randomly selected from the National Identity Number (PESEL) register. Respondents independently selected one of the following methods: Computer Assisted Personal Interview (CAPI); Computer Assisted Telephone Interview (CATI), respondents receiving researchers’ telephone numbers in an introductory letter from CBOS; Computer Assisted Web Interview (CAWI), where respondents filled in the online questionnaire independently, gaining access by means of a login and password provided in an introductory letter from CBOS. In all three cases the questionnaire had the same structure and comprised the same questions. The survey was carried out between 28 March and 7 April 2022 inclusive on a sample of 1030 people (54.8% using the CAPI method, 28.3% CATI and 16.9% CAWI). CBOS has been conducting statutory research using the above procedure since May 2020, stating in each case the percentage of personal, telephone and internet interviews.
| Дослідження «Актуальні проблеми та події» (384) проводилося методом «mixed-mode» на репрезентативній іменній вибірці повнолітніх польських мешканців, відібраних із реєстру PESEL.Кожен респондент самостійно обрав один із способів опитування: пряме інтерв'ю за участю інтерв'юера (метод CAPI); телефонне інтерв'ю після контакту з інтерв'юером CBOS (CATI) – респондент отримав контактні дані в листі-повідомленні CBOS; самостійне заповнення онлайн-анкети, доступ до якої був можливий за допомогою логіна та пароля, наданих респонденту в листі-повідомленні від CBOS. У всіх трьох випадках опитування мало однаковий набір питань і структуру. Опитування проводилося з 28 березня по 7 квітня 2022 року на вибірці з 1030 осіб (у тому числі: 54,8% за методом CAPI, 28,3% – CATI та 16,9% – CAWI). CBOS проводить статутні дослідження в рамках вищеописаної процедури з травня 2020 року, подаючи за кожним разом пропорції прямих, телефонних та інтернет-інтерв’ю.
